Corn Cleaning Technology and Equipment in Corn Processing

CORN CLEANING technology mainly processes various dust, organic impurities and inorganic impurities. To ensure the safe production and end products quality of the processing, we need to clean the corn impurities. There are screening method and winnowing method for us to choose. And corn cleaning technology needs the following equipments: vibrating screen, gravity destoner machine, permanent magnetic pulley and wheat washer.

First, vibrating screen is mainly used to remove big, medium and small impurities. About the sieve pit, the first sifter usually adopts the round hole with the diameter of 17-20mm. The second sifter adopts the round hole with the diameter of 12-15mm and can remove the big and medium impurities. The third sifter adopts the round hole with the diameter of 2mm and can remove the small impurities.

Second, gravity destoner machine can remove the stones which have the similar size with corn kernels. Because corn has big granularity, flat shape and big gravity, we can increase air volume in operation and improve the wind speed. The wind speed across the scales holes can reach 14m/s. The height of projection of the scales holes can be adjusted to 2mm. In operation, we should notice the motion station of the material above the scales sieve, adjust the air volume and check the stone discharging condition.

Third, the permanent magnetic pulley can remove the magnetic metal impurities in the corn. It can be installed in front of the corn crusher to avoid metal impurities mixing into the crusher.

Fourth, the wheat washer can remove the soil and dust in the corn. We can reduce the corn ash content 0.02-0.06 by corn cleaning.

Vibrating screen, gravity destoner machine, permanent magnetic pulley and wheat washaer form the whole corn cleaning technology process, which ensures the safe running and high corn products quality of the complete processing line.
