Corn Processing Equipment Grinding Roll Cleaning Mechanism

During corn processing and grinding, there may have powdery material adhering to the corn processing equipment grinding roll surface. If we don’t clean it in time, it may affect the grinding effect.

There are two methods to clean corn processing equipment grinding roll. The pin roll adopts brush to clean. And the smooth roll adopts scraper to clean. The cleaning device adopts lever structure, which depends on the adjustable cylindrical balancer to press the brush or the scraper close to the roll surface. It can adjust the cleaning device pressure on the roll surface by changing the position of the balance weight. We can check the sticking degree between the cleaning device and the roll surface by illumination or plugging scrip. If there has obvious gap, it implies that the pressure is not enough. We should increase the pressure. But if the pressure is too large, it may cause serious abrasion on the scraper and the brush.

Because there may have lots of scrapers for loss, we need to take measures to reduce the abrasion during operation. To make the maintaining easier, the brush and the scraper can be dismantled easily. The scraper and the brush are both installed on the parietal pins of the two sides of the grinding chamber. Because during operation, the scraper needs movement, in scraper installation, we also need to lock the bolt by sheeting after we sheathe the pin hole with pins. Then we can loosen the bolt.

During the revolving process of the corn processing equipment grinding roll, under the effect of the balance weight, the brush is pressed close to the grinding roll.
